1. DRINK WATER
I know it seems like a no brainer but most people are severely dehydrated. Which results in well.. dehydrated looking skin. Interestingly, dehydrated skin can look dry or oily. This is because it has to create more oil to replenish the moisture. Therefore drinking more water can help with both very dry and or oily skin.
2. WASH YOUR PILLOWCASES
This should be done weekly. You don’t have to wash your whole set of sheets, or even your pillowcases each week, but have an extra set that you can swap out. Pillow protectors aren’t a bad idea either. They protect your pillows and in turn protect your face.
3. EAT MORE GREENS
It can be tough to get those greens in every day but a little here and a little there goes a long way. Throw some spinach in your smoothie, a handful of kale on your sandwich. If you try and add a little greenery to every meal you get all the benefits without having to eat a giant salad.
4. PROTECT YOUR SKIN FROM THE SUN
Wear SPF on your face, all day, every day, even in the winter. And if you’re spending a lot of time in the sun wear a hat. You can look cute and protect your face all in one wardrobe choice.
5. WASH YOUR MAKE OFF
EVERY 👏🏻 SINGLE 👏🏻 NIGHT
I find this one is the hardest to do. I hate taking off my makeup, especially right before bed when I’m tired, so I got into the habit of removing it as soon as I’m in for the night. That way once bedtime hits I just have to floss, brush my teeth, and nighty nighty on my clean pillowcase ; )
These seem like easy no brainers but hey! We all need a little reminder from time to time. Oh and a little Bonus Tip - STOP TOUCHING YOUR FACE! I mean it! ( I slowly take my hand off my face as I reread this 🤦🏻♀️ )
